✨ What to Expect

Missed June? Check out the June 2026 Meetup Recap → — we adopted CRM’s founding charter and launched two new working groups.

July is a builder’s night. Alex is bringing the parts and pieces to assemble several of his Rattlesnake nodes, and the group will build them together. These nodes will become the next wave of CRM’s regional infrastructure — custom-printed with CRM branding and destined for deployment across the area.

We’re also opening up the floor to anyone who wants to bring their own hardware designs to show off. If you’ve got something interesting in the works, bring it along.

Agenda

  • 7:00–7:10 — Arrivals & Check-In Go-Around
  • 7:10–7:15 — Agenda Review

  • 9:45–10:00 — Closing Circle

🐍 Community Assembly: Rattlesnake Node Build

Presented by Alex

Alex designed the Rattlesnake node as a rugged, deployable LoRa node built for real-world outdoor use. July’s Community Assembly is a group build: Alex will bring the components, and attendees will assemble several units together.

These won’t just be prototypes — they’re the next batch of CRM’s live infrastructure nodes, destined for deployment across the Capital Region. Units will be custom-printed with CRM branding, part of the broader effort to make our equipment identifiable in the field.

Building together is also a great way to understand the hardware from the ground up. Whether you’ve deployed nodes before or you’re just getting started, this is a hands-on session you can contribute to.

Have your own design? Bring it. July is also an informal hardware show-and-tell — prototypes, experiments, and works-in-progress are all welcome. Show the group what you’re building.

🤝 Members’ Council

Following the break, the Members’ Council will meet for working group reports, any proposals members want to bring forward, and open floor discussion. If you’d like to add something to the agenda, email events@capitalmesh.net ahead of time or raise it during the agenda review at the start of the meeting.

🛠️ Working Group Breakout & Social Time

After the Members’ Council, we’ll break into open working group time. Sit with the LoRa or Reticulum working groups, continue working on your node build, or just hang out and talk shop.
